Athletics: Basketball (Boys) - Elementary Coaches

About the role

The Elementary Assistant Coach at Lighthouse Christian Academy supports the Head Coach in creating a positive, Christ-centered athletic experience for young student-athletes. Elementary athletics should emphasize encouragement, skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and enjoyment of the game while helping students grow in confidence and character.

• Provide appropriate supervision
• Support the mission and values of Lighthouse Christian Academy

Requirements

• A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
• Prior coaching or playing experience preferred (especially with youth teams)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to motivate, instruct, and care for students with patience and integrity

Qualifications

• Must complete required background checks and child protection training
