Athletic Trainers
Seattle Children’s Athletic Training Program has multiple open Athletic Trainer positions in the high school setting, ranging from per diem to 38 hours per week. About the role
As an Athletic Trainer in our program, you will provide superior rehabilitative care to injured high school athletes and educate athletes, coaches, Athletic Directors, parents, and the public on injury prevention, rehabilitation, wellness, and other health-related issues. You will treat and prevent athletic injuries by developing therapies to reduce pain and improve mobility under the direction of a physician, assist in exercise instruction and demonstration, athlete/patient evaluation, and testing.
Per-diem roles are not eligible for benefits.
Responsibilities
- Provide rehabilitative care to injured high school athletes.
- Educate athletes, coaches, Athletic Directors, parents, and the public on injury prevention, rehabilitation, wellness, and health-related issues.
- Develop and implement therapies to reduce pain and improve mobility under physician direction.
- Assist in exercise instruction, demonstration, athlete/patient evaluation, and testing.
- Commitment to LEAN performance improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a health-related field.
- One or more years of relevant experience.
- Certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association as an Athletic Trainer.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Current Washington State license to practice as an Athletic Trainer.
- Submit a receipt confirming completion of the fingerprinting process as outlined by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) prior to employment start.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in a health-related field.
- Two years of experience in an athletic training setting.
- Demonstrated successful experience facilitating classes.

Pay
Compensation range: $32.07 - $48.11 per hour (based on full-time employment of 2080 hours per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
