Work Location: Vermont Air National Guard Base, 108 NCO Drive, South Burlington, Chittenden County, Vermont 05403.
Citizenship Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen. Clearance Requirements: National Background Check with Inquiries, Fingerprints, and Drug Screen.
Schedule
- Full-time, estimated 40 hours per week.
- Estimated Period of Performance: September 23, 2026, through September 22, 2027.
- Working hours: Tuesday through Saturday within 0600-1700, with typical five-hour shifts of 0700-1200 or 1200-1700.
- Approximately eight night weeks per year may shift work as late as 2000; night-week times are coordinated about two weeks in advance.
Pay
$31.14/hour
Qualifications
- Must be fully trained, licensed/certified, and qualified under Vermont and industry requirements.
- Must maintain Athletic Trainer certifications/licensure.
- Must hold and maintain active CPR/AED certification.
- Must demonstrate enhanced neck/back injury training such as McKenzie Method or equivalent.

Responsibilities
- Conduct baseline and follow-up musculoskeletal evaluations.
- Provide preventive and therapeutic care to fighter aircrew before and after flight, including soft-tissue and joint treatments, injury-risk reduction, and rehabilitation support.
- Perform soft-tissue mobilization, joint mobilization, stretching, and traction techniques.
- Assess injury risk and develop individualized injury prevention strategies.
- Educate personnel on injury prevention, recovery, and safe movement techniques.
- Maintain accurate treatment records and program documentation.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of athletic training equipment.
- Support multidisciplinary human performance and rehabilitation initiatives.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.
Attire
- Wear approved professional clothing appropriate to the environment while on duty.
- Footwear must be closed-toe, flat-bottom, and completely cover the feet; fluid resistance and non-slip soles are preferred.
