About the role
Encore Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Athletic Trainer to serve a high school in the Tupelo area as a member of the Encore Sports Medicine Team. This position is a great opportunity for an athletic trainer who enjoys working directly with student-athletes, coaches, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals in a team-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide athletic training services for high school student-athletes.
- Evaluate injuries and provide immediate care when needed.
- Develop and oversee injury-prevention and rehabilitation programs.
- Provide coverage for practices, games, school events, clinics, and other athletic activities.
- Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, coaches, school administrators, athletes, and families.
- Maintain accurate injury, treatment, and clinical documentation.
- Support safe return-to-play decisions and promote student-athlete health and wellness.
Qualifications
- Current BOC certification and ATC® credential.
- Mississippi athletic trainer license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Current CPR/AED certification.
- Strong communication, organization, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively with student-athletes, families, coaches, school personnel, and healthcare providers.
