Responsibilities
- Provide care to clients in need of sports related rehabilitation services in various settings
- Care for injured athletes from adolescents to geriatrics at community sporting events and on the practice and playing fields
- Administer immediate first aid and develop a treatment program based on the nature of the injury
- Communicate with the injured athlete, physician, coach, and family as appropriate
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or related field such as Health, Physical, Education or Exercise Science
- Work Experience: No experience required; experience with a variety of sports programs preferred
- Licenses and Certifications:
- Current certification from the National Athletic Trainer's Association (AT - Certified Athletic Trainer) upon hire
- Current Athletic Trainer license in State of Georgia upon hire
- BCLS - Basic Life Support certification through AHA upon hire
