Athletic Trainer - PRN
About the role
The PRN Athletic Trainer position at Athletico is designed to support athletes and medical professionals in reviewing and managing their health needs. This role involves applying protective measures, evaluating injuries, developing rehabilitation plans, and maintaining communication with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Apply protective or injury-preventive devices, such as tape, bandages, and braces
- Recognize and evaluate injuries at assigned affiliate or clinic and provide first aid or emergency care to injured athletes/patients
- Develop and carry out rehabilitation programs for injured athletes and plan and implement comprehensive programs to prevent future injury and illnesses with athletes
- Perform administrative tasks, such as maintaining accurate records of injuries and writing reports on injuries and treatment programs following company documentation protocols
- Maintain communications with internal and external partners with regards to the progress of the injured athlete as well as informing of Athletico services and locations for continuum of care
Requirements
No formal education or work experience is required for this position. However, a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an Accredited CAATE Program is preferred. Additionally, certification as a Board of Certification (BOC) Certified Athletic Trainer is required.
Qualifications
Knowledge and technical skills are not required for this role. The ideal candidate should have the ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently, as well as the ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Physical requirements include the ability to remain stationary for extended periods, stoop/kneel/crouch, travel around the location, communicate with others, and use fine motor skills including fine hand manipulation and the ability to see at close range, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds including assistance with moving, lifting, and supporting athletes is also necessary.

Pay
The salary range for this position is USD $35.00 per hour, with a minimum and maximum salary/wage of USD $35.00 per hour.
Schedule
This is a part-time position requiring some weekend and after business hours work.
