Athletic Trainer/Ortho Tech

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced orthopedic procedures such as FRC casting, plaster splinting
• Assist in both outpatient and inpatient (hospital and operating room) settings
• Manage wound care, including pin removal, staple and suture removal, wound vacuum management, and dressing changes
• Fit and educate patients on the use of durable medical equipment (DME)

Requirements

This role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training, with a Master’s degree preferred. A current applicable state(s) temporary/permanent license as an Athletic Trainer is required or in compliance with the state practice act. Current BLS certification is required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. BOC certification and NBCOT certification (eligible or application in process) are also required. Casting certification is required or needs to obtain within six months of start date.
