About the role

MU Health Care is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Athletic Trainer to join the MOI Orthopedic Clinic team. The ideal candidate should be proficient in a fast-paced setting, committed to athlete safety, and skilled in guiding both injury prevention and rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial assessments and provide emergency or ongoing care for athletes
  • Wrap, tape, and administer first aid to athletes as necessary
  • Coordinate care for injured athletes by integrating them into the MU Health Care system
  • Create and manage home exercise rehabilitation programs for athletes
  • Treat injuries in the Rec Complex Athletic Training Room
  • Prepare and maintain records, reports, and information on athletic injuries
  • Serve as a preceptor for the University of Missouri Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP)
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
  • Perform unit/department-specific duties as outlined in departmental documents

Requirements

  • Certified Athletic Trainer (AT) by the Board of Certification (BOC)
  • Athletic Trainer licensure by the Missouri State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional licenses or certifications as determined by the hiring department

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field
  • Current certification as an Athletic Trainer by the Board of Certification (BOC)
  • Missouri State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts licensure

$22.00 – $34.74 per hour, based on experience

Schedule

Monday – Friday, days, 40 hours per week
