Athletic Trainer, Marshall Medical Centers South, Full Time, Shift Varies

Position Summary Provide emergency medical service for local high schools. Ideal candidate possesses the experience, and the decision-making and clinical skills to make treatment assessments based on quick injury evaluation. Provide coverage as needed by schools for sporting events and tournaments. Responsibilities Demonstrates and executes the required skills and knowledge by responding to emergency medical situations, rendering an analysis on the situation/injury, and administering emergency medical care. Collaborates with physicians to help prevent, diagnosis, and treat injuries. Document all related activities/treatment by completing predetermined forms/reports, and maintaining all information in a confidential manner. Must display an ability to interpret written, oral and diagnostic form instructions and the ability to use good judgment and to remain calm in high stress situations. Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested. Exhibit proper taping, strapping, bracing and fitting of athletic equipment. Provide coverage as requested by school. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Education: Masters Degree is required; Bachelor's Degree if grandfathered in. This position will be providing Athletic Training and Sports Medicine services to all sports/athletic events at a local school in the Marshall County School System. Candidate will have to communicate with Coaches, School Administrators, Physicians, and parents of student-athletes.
