Responsibilities
- Evaluate, administer, and oversee evidence-based treatment of student athletes in the field and clinical setting.
- Develop and update appropriate plan of care in collaboration with the student athlete/family to assist in returning them to their prior level of function.
- Interface with physicians, co-workers, caregivers, family members, student athletes, and other healthcare providers.
- Contribute to process improvement and professional growth.
- Ensure emergency action plans and safety action plans for all athletic venues and events are reviewed and organized.
- Manage assigned athletic training clinic, including inventory management, cleanliness, sanitization, organization, staffing, scheduling, and supervising/educating students, volunteers, and the community.
- Teach and train student athletic trainers on standards of care, assign, instruct, and directly supervise care delivered by the student athletic trainer.
- Participate in departmental and interdepartmental meetings, in-services, utilization review programs, committees, and mentor programs.
- Maintain all required licenses and certifications, including Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR/ AED/ First Aid, and NATA BOC Certification.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Athletic Training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- NATA BOC Certification upon hire.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- One year of experience in a related role.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) card required.
- ATC certification required.
Qualifications
- Flexible to cover Deer Valley and/or Scottsdale Unified School Districts and Mountain Ridge HS.
- Ability to work variable and irregular hours and shifts on a regular basis.
