Athletic Trainer

Job Description

Provide “Athletic Training Services” to student athletes under the direction of the team physician or by written referral from a physician, and in accordance with state athletic training practice act.

Duties

• Maintain appropriate general treatment orders to be reviewed annually and approved by the team physician.
• Act as a liaison between family physicians and specialists, the school district, athletes, and their parents.
• Maintain accurate records of injuries and treatments.
• Maintain open communication between self, coaches and athletic directors about athlete injuries, eligibility to play and other things as needed.
• Communicate injuries as needed to co-workers.
• Attend scheduled practices and games as given by the coach and athletic director.
• Attend weekly clinic rotation as scheduled.
• Absorbs other responsibilities as requested by Manager.

Qualifications

• Education Requirements:
  • New York State License
  • BOC certified by August 2026
  • CPR and AED certified
  • NATA Certified
  • Possess a valid Driver's License
• Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in health-related field
  • 0-1 year experience
• Skills and Competencies Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
  • Must be able to multi-task and desire to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Pay

This is a full-time position with travel requirements 50-75% of the time.
