About the Role
This position involves coaching responsibilities for high school athletic programs. The Head Coach and Assistant Coach roles require knowledge of the sport and the ability to teach and develop student athletes.
Responsibilities
- Impart sport-specific knowledge and skills to participants.
- Ensure compliance with Florida State Statutes and school district policies.
- Demonstrate computer skills as required for the position.
Requirements
Head Coach Qualifications
- Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of a General Education Development (GED) Testing Program.
- Valid Florida Educator Certificate or Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education (required for applicants without a Florida Educator Certificate).
- Knowledge of the sport and ability to teach it effectively.
Assistant Coach Qualifications
- Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Educational Development (GED) Testing Program.
- Knowledge of the activity and ability to teach it to participants.
