About the role
This position is for a Test Engineer supporting the Integrated Circuit Defect Analysis team at NVIDIA. The engineer will work on tailored test equipment and software for the Advantest PS5000 and Teradyne UltraFLEXPlus platforms. The role involves bridging the gap between design, automated test equipment, and IC failure analysis. The engineer will be responsible for developing specialized test equipment and crafting test scripts for diagnostics and root-cause isolation.
Responsibilities
- Port and develop test vectors, patterns, and software on the Advantest V93000 system and Teradyne UltraFLEXplus platforms.
- Convert design simulation data into functional, scan, and structural test patterns.
- Partner with FA engineers and design teams to translate physical FA steps into reproducible test flows.
- Improve turnaround time from device failure to root cause by optimizing tester hardware and software flows.
- Design, prototype, and validate custom test hardware for FA setups.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Advantest V93000 (PS5000) and Teradyne UltraFLEXplus.
- Proficiency with script automation in Python, C++, or Perl.
- Familiarity with IC failure analysis flows and yield analysis.

$132,000 – $253,000 per year
