ATE Test Development Engineer

About the role

Broadcom’s ASIC Products Division is seeking an ATE Test Development Engineer for our Fort Collins Development Center in Colorado. The successful candidate will develop test programs using Advantest 93K and ExaScale testers with SmarTest7 & SmarTest8 operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop test flows, test methods, and validate test programs at ATERMA.
• Use existing test flows and programs to create characterization test programs for identifying failing circuits at ATE; assist in developing screens to address gaps.
• Drive and assist with R&D activities, including development and deployment of innovative test methodologies for structural and functional tests.
• Support chip testing for qualification, including failure verification and spec search to assess the qualification process.
• Analyze root-causes of challenges at ATE through electrical and thermal analysis.
• Test parts, analyze results, and present reports to drive discussions with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Advantest and/or Teradyne tester platforms; SmarTest8 experience is a plus.
• Ability to independently develop test programs, including complex test flows to support chip specifications around performance and power consumption.
• Experience supporting debugging and troubleshooting of failure mechanisms by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in volume data analysis, correlating failures with system failures, and using data analysis software/languages.
• Programming experience required for test method development.
• Ability to work with test hardware development teams and understand chip performance at ATE, including contributions from test hardware on chip behavior.
• Experience with extreme temperature testing of ASICs at ATE.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is USD 129,400 to USD 207,000.
