ATC Command Center - Air Traffic Control Instructor-II

About the role

The CTS Instructor is a hands-on position that requires the candidate to effectively and consistently deliver the highest quality classroom and/or simulation laboratory training to a wide variety of students including Certified Professional Controllers (CPC), Traffic Management Coordinators (TMC), Operational Supervisors (OS), and Supervisory Traffic Management Coordinators (STMC).

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and simulation laboratory training to a wide variety of students including Certified Professional Controllers (CPC), Traffic Management Coordinators (TMC), Operational Supervisors (OS), and Supervisory Traffic Management Coordinators (STMC).
• Mentor students and participate in curriculum design and development.
• Ensure the delivery of training services meet the needs of the local facility, as well as the FAA’s overall Air Traffic Control mission.
• Interface effectively with FAA personnel at all levels.

Requirements

• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• A minimum of five (5) years of FAA CPC experience controlling live traffic, or recent experience as a contract Instructor at an FAA facility.
• Experience must have been at a level 10 FAA facility or greater.
• Demonstrated strong technical skills with current ATC automation, simulation systems and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with FAA personnel at all levels.
• Demonstrated excellent teaching and/or platform skills, classroom management techniques, and a student-focused drive for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package including a potential for sign-on and completion bonuses, and a target salary range of $80,001 - $120,000.

The estimated salary range for this position is $80,001 - $120,000.
