Available for the 2026-2027 school year. Reports to: Building Principal and State & Federal Programs Director. Full-time position at Fancher.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Must meet one of the following requirements for Title I-funded programs:
- Complete at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (equal to 60 semester hours); or
- Obtain an associate's degree (or higher); or
- Meet a rigorous standard of quality and demonstrate, through a formal state or local academic assessment (e.g., Work Keys Test, MTTC, ETS Parapro Assessment, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience working with the age level of students for the position
- Physical examination by a licensed physician documenting capability to perform required duties
- Electronic fingerprint clearance from a criminal history record check
- Experience working in a setting dealing directly with children
- Competency in oral and written communications
- Interest in knowing, understanding, and learning about cultural diversity
Preferred: Experience with math and reading interventions.
Responsibilities
- Follow directives/lessons to provide evidence-based instructional support in reading and mathematics instruction
- Provide supplemental direct instruction in small or individual group settings
- Conduct ongoing progress monitoring of at-risk students and report to building administrator/teachers; communicate progress to classroom teachers, administrators, and families
- Provide academic feedback to families after the program is completed
- Keep time and effort log reflecting what was taught and which students participated in the lesson
- Participate in other building duties as assigned when needed
