About the role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our new research and development team focused on developing the next generation of automation technologies for the medical equipment manufacturing industry. This is a significant design-focused role within a multidisciplinary team (without management responsibilities) dedicated to designing advanced automation systems for the medical equipment sector.

Responsibilities

• Leading the planning and development of automation systems for production processes.
• Managing projects from concept through prototyping, simulation, testing, and implementation in production.
• Designing complex mechanical and electrical systems with an integrated perspective.
• Conducting design analyses, simulations, and prototype development.
• Collaborating with material science, software, visualization, algorithmic, robotics, and manufacturing teams.
• Assessing and integrating new technologies into existing production lines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering - Required.
• At least 7 years of practical experience in designing and developing complex mechanical systems - Required.
• Proven experience in designing automation systems and working in a multi-disciplinary environment including automation, robotics, and electrical/mechanical systems - Required.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical design, dynamics, materials, and electrical/mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
• Experience with engineering simulations - Advantageous.
• Experience with micro-mechanisms - Advantageous.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• Full command of Hebrew and English.
• Systematic thinking, creativity, initiative, and teamwork skills.
