Village Education Resource Center (VERC) is a national voluntary organization registered with the Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA), NGO Affairs Bureau, and Ministry of Social Welfare.

Responsibilities

  • Record daily collectible, savings returns, and loan disbursement information on the branch’s collectible board.
  • Before visiting the group, log necessary details in the movement register and verify that all required forms (membership, loan application, MTS), collection sheets, tablet, calculator, etc. are in the bag.
  • Arrive at the group meeting on time, greet members, ensure their attendance, and conduct the meeting.
  • Discuss and process member enrollment, loan proposals, savings returns, and other issue-based topics during group meetings.
  • Form new groups according to targets, screen potential members, and enroll eligible candidates.
  • Verify loan applicants by assessing their projects, visiting homes, and discussing with primary earners and guarantors before preparing loan proposals.
  • Submit completed loan proposal forms and all related documents to the branch manager at least 15 days before the disbursement date.
  • Follow up to ensure members invest the disbursed loan amount in the proposed project.
  • Collect loan installments and savings from members, post entries in passbooks, and obtain signatures.
  • Record all collected loan installments, savings, and other receipts accurately in the software and resolution book.
  • Document weekly meeting minutes in the resolution book, read them aloud to members, and collect their signatures.
  • Follow up on overdue collections and members as per the plan.
  • Maintain separate files for advanced loan members under personal responsibility.
  • Assist in providing data for annual work plans and overdue collection plans.
  • Upload collected funds to the software, submit them to the accountant, and sign the top sheet.
  • Maintain constant communication with the branch manager and implement daily activities as per their instructions.
  • Engage in courteous and friendly interactions with community leaders and dignitaries while traveling to groups and work areas.

Requirements

  • Analytical skills
  • Experience in administration, back-office operations, or administrative tasks
  • Proficiency in administrative assistance, HR analytics, and assistant duties
  • Basic computer maintenance and task assignment skills
