About the role

The Horan Foundation is seeking a Cardiologist to provide medical services in Afrin, Syria. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cardiology and be able to work independently in challenging conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with cardiovascular diseases
• Conduct diagnostic tests and interpret results
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Collaborate with local healthcare providers and international aid organizations
• Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality

Requirements

• MD degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification in cardiology
• At least 5 years of clinical experience in cardiology
• Experience working in austere environments
• Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office

Skills

• Knowledge of local healthcare systems and protocols
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong organizational and time management skills
