At Home Caregiver

About the role

Visiting Angels’ office in Bettendorf is seeking At Home Caregivers for the Quad Cities area including Durant, Davenport, Bettendorf, Muscatine, and more. This is a chance to do real good for families in the area by providing compassionate care to seniors.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Ambulate and assist clients with mobility
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Plan and prepare meals with clients' assistance
• Perform light housekeeping duties
• Do clients' shopping or accompany them
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies

Requirements

• Passion to serve others - a true caregiver
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with dietary constraints
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong ethics
• Physical endurance
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License
