Visiting Angels of Lufkin is hiring caregivers to serve clients throughout the Deep East Texas area. This is an opportunity to join the nation's top network for at-home care and make a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Aiding clients with light physical exercise or walks
• Planning and preparing meals with clients
• Handling light housekeeping duties
• Reporting health changes or unusual incidents
• Providing pleasant, supportive companionship
• Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies
• Accompanying and supervising clients during shopping trips
• Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately
• Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Training in First Aid and emergency response
• Excellent time-management skills
• Reliable transportation to client homes
• Physical endurance for tasks like carrying groceries and supporting a client
• Ability to perform housekeeping and cooking duties
• Compliance with state and office-specific health and safety standards
• Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the client's day

Qualifications

Training in areas like dementia care and/or Alzheimer’s care is available for caregivers interested in expanding their skills.
