At Home Caregiver

About the role

Visiting Angels of Bryan is hiring caregivers to serve clients in the Central Texas area including Brenham, Bellville, Somerville, Whitman, Wilcox, Snook, College Station, and more. Join a national network of at-home care providers.

Responsibilities

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
• Planning and preparing meals with clients
• Handling light housekeeping duties
• Reporting health changes or unusual incidents
• Providing pleasant, supportive companionship
• Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies
• Accompanying and supervising clients during shopping trips
• Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately
• Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle
• Training in First Aid and emergency response (provided if needed)
• Excellent time-management skills and ability to juggle multiple duties
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes
• Confidence in physical endurance and ability to perform housekeeping and cooking duties
• Comfortable performing tasks within applicable dietary constraints
• Willingness and ability to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
