Responsibilities
- Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
- Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
- Planning and preparing meals with clients
- Handling light housekeeping duties
- Reporting health changes or unusual incidents
- Providing pleasant, supportive companionship
- Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies
- Accompanying and supervising clients during shopping trips
- Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately
- Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle for transporting clients
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Training in First Aid and emergency response (provided if needed)
- Excellent time‑management skills and ability to juggle multiple duties
- Reliable transportation to and from client homes at scheduled times
- Physical endurance for tasks such as carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
- Comfort performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to dietary constraints
- Willingness to comply with state and office‑specific health and safety standards (e.g., background check)
- Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten each client’s day
