At Home Caregiver

About the role

Avenues Home Care of Tennessee provides home care services to the elderly, vulnerable, disabled, and those who cannot care for themselves. Caregivers are responsible for keeping the client's needs at the forefront and performing various duties as outlined in their individualized care plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and continence care.
• Provide medication assistance, housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, feeding, shopping, transportation, and companionship.
• Report daily activities to the supervisor using the agency management system and other communication methods.
• Practice safety in all client-related activities.
• Lift or push up to 50 pounds as necessary.
• Communicate honestly, accountably, and with integrity.
• Provide superior care to clients.
• Report any suspected abuse or neglect immediately.
• Maintain confidentiality of records and information.
• Attend meetings and in-services as requested.
• Abide by all company policies and procedures.
• Ensure protection of confidential information.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Preferred CNA license or equivalent caregiving experience.
• Preferred CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Reliable transportation.
• “Fit for duty” physical condition.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
