At Home Caregiver

About the role

Avenues Home Care of Tennessee provides home care services to the elderly, vulnerable, disabled, and those who cannot care for themselves. Caregivers assist with activities of daily living, medication management, household tasks, and provide companionship. Services are provided in the Northeast Tennessee area, including Johnson City, Morristown, Rogersville, Dandridge, Rutledge, Greeneville, and more.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as per the client's plan of care.
• Perform medication assistance, housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, feeding, shopping, transportation, and companionship.
• Report daily activity to supervisor through the agency management system and other communication avenues.
• Practice safety in all activities concerning Avenues Home Care clients.
• Be responsible for lifting or pushing up to 50 pounds.
• Ensure confidentiality of records and maintain a “Fit for Duty” physical condition.
• Maintain professional appearance and abide by company policies.
• Report any suspected abuse or neglect immediately.
• Document any behavior, events, conditions, or people that are out of the ordinary.
• Attend meetings and in-services as requested.
• Abide by all policies and procedures set forth by the Company.
• Maintain confidentiality of confidential information.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Preferred CNA license or equivalent caregiving experience.
• Preferred CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Reliable transportation.
