About the Role

The Director of Account Management leads the Account Management Department, motivating, training, and coaching team members to align with the organization's mission and Core Values. This role oversees program compliance, registration processes, and quality service delivery to students and clients, ensuring successful outcomes. Additionally, the Director engages with prospective students to provide information about educational opportunities through contracted partners.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts front-line account management activities while leading the Account Management Department.
  • Manages inbound and outbound communication with partners/clients, coordinates meetings, and supports onboarding and ongoing engagement.
  • Ensures account management operations comply with all regulatory guidelines, internal policies, and standards of conduct.
  • Assesses the team’s technical and relationship management skills and delivers training and coaching to drive continuous improvement.
  • Leads regular team meetings to review performance, pipeline activity, client needs, and expectations.
  • Establishes work schedules and coverage plans to ensure appropriate staffing and responsiveness to partner and client needs.
  • Plays a key role in ensuring a smooth transition from initial engagement or onboarding through ongoing account support and retention.
  • Provides departmental updates through reports, discussions, and meetings with senior leadership.
  • Delivers performance evaluations and ongoing feedback.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or at least 2 years of account management and/or management experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service and/or management experience, with preference given to those with direct educational admissions experience.
  • Demonstrated highest levels of integrity and professionalism in all aspects, including appearance, demeanor, and attitude.
  • Proven leadership skills, including the ability to develop, motivate, and lead staff.
  • Ability to prioritize, accept responsibility, and work within deadlines.
  • Experience leading and working in an observation/coaching-style environment.
  • Creativity and ability to work independently.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with demonstrated success collaborating with diverse groups of employees and customers.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including Google Suite.
  • Past record of integrity ensuring compliance with accrediting standards and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Experience with CampusVue and/or Velocify software.
