Coordinate with part-time instructors to maintain consistency in course delivery.Instruction: Deliver engaging lectures and laboratory sessions. Utilize star projection systems, telescopes, and other astronomical instruments. Incorporate multimedia tools and technology-based teaching aids. Colleges & Universities Student Evaluation: Create, administer, and grade tests, quizzes, and assignments. Offer constructive feedback and support student learning outcomes.Shared Governance: Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and college initiatives. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in academic programs.Student Support: Hold regular office hours and provide academic advising. Support students from diverse backgrounds to achieve success in their academic goals. Astronomy Minimum Qualifications Education Requirements (per CCC Minimum Qualifications Handbook):Master’s degree in physics, astronomy, or astrophysics ORBachelor’s degree in physics or astronomy AND Master’s degree in engineering, mathematics, meteorology, or geophysics ORThe equivalent (determined through the equivalency process).
