About the role
The Department of Environmental and Global Health in the College of Public Health and Health Professions at the University of Florida (UF) invites applications for up to four full-time, 12-month open-rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) faculty positions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain an extramurally funded research program.
- Contribute to teaching and mentoring at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels.
- Participate in departmental, college, university, and professional service activities.
Requirements
- Earned doctorate (PhD, DrPH, DVM, MD, or equivalent terminal degree) in public health or a related field by the start date of employment.
- Demonstrated record of scholarship relevant to environmental health, global health, infectious disease, One Health, population health, or a related area.
- Evidence of potential to contribute to the department's research, teaching, and service missions.
- Demonstrated record of scholarly achievement, including peer-reviewed publications and a research agenda with potential for sustained impact.
- Experience in public health research, practice, teaching, or community engagement.
- Expertise in one or more areas aligned with departmental priorities, including environmental health, infectious disease, toxicology, One Health, global health, climate and health, epidemiology, implementation science, health equity, or related fields.
- Experience mentoring students, trainees, or early-career professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in collaborative, interdisciplinary research and educational environments.
- Evidence of a collegial and engaging approach to mentoring, teaching, service, and professional engagement.
- Ability to develop productive partnerships across academic, governmental, healthcare, industry, or community settings.
Qualifications
