Position Summary
The Precision Health Program (PHP) at Michigan State University is accepting applications for a Tenure System faculty position, rank of Assistant / Associate / Full Professor commensurate with experience and qualifications. Led by Dr. Anna Moore, Associate Dean for the College of Human Medicine, PHP is a newly established university-wide vigorous program currently consisting of five laboratories conducting independent research in the areas of cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and nanobiotechnologies (https://precisionhealth.msu.edu). The Program occupies the second floor of the Interdisciplinary Sciences and Technology Building, constructed by the university in September of 2019.
Responsibilities
- Establish sustainable research programs within their lab.
- Participate in collaborative research across the program.
- Maintain a high level of scholarly contributions to their respective disciplines.
- Secure extramural funding for their research projects.
- Engage in institutional and professional service activities.
- Engage in educational initiatives related to their research.
Requirements
- PhD in a Biomedical Science field with 8-10 years of research experience relevant to cancer stem cell biology, in vitro and in vivo applications, experiment design and execution, and data analysis.
- Hands-on experience with cancer stem cells, analytical assays, testing and imaging.

Base salary for this position starts at $100,000 and is negotiable, based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, a generous start-up package will be offered.
