Responsibilities
- Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication, and updating senior team members on progress.
- Effectively and efficiently run assigned assurance engagements, compliant with professional standards and within budget expectations, which includes planning, execution, and delivery of assurance engagements.
- Absorb and prepare reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties.
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel.
- Build strong internal relationship within ATKG Assurance and across other services.
- Coach, supervise and conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for staff.
- Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures.
- Provide technical and software training for new employees.
- Provide day-to-day help to staff and interns.
- Promote the firm by participating in associations, chapters, and local events.
- Identify additional client needs and follow ups.
- Communicate with clients as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or related field, Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is preferred.
- 3-5 years of audit experience in public accounting setting.
- Thorough knowledge of current auditing techniques.
- Understanding of GAAP.
- Experience with the entire audit process.
- Understanding of risk-based auditing and risk and control strategies.
- Results oriented with attention to detail.
