Assurance Manager

About the role

Newman Town, PLLC (NT), formed in 2013, is a premier professional services firm based in Kirkland, WA. We provide assurance, tax, and advisory services, primarily to privately held companies engaged in the construction industry in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. Our industry expertise is second to none.

We are looking for a candidate with an entrepreneurial mindset who is adept at developing and nurturing client relationships, has strong GAAP knowledge, and enjoys working with privately held businesses. This is a long-term role focused on fostering and growing our assurance department.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with firm partners who are experts in their field
• Lead financial reporting projects and supervise staff
• Manage projects from beginning to end
• Collaborate with team members and support department initiatives
• Participate in recruiting and business development activities

Tax knowledge and/or the ability and desire to learn is a plus.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting
• Minimum seven years of public accounting experience
• Active CPA license
• Demonstrated critical and analytical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Team and entrepreneurial mindset
• Extensive knowledge of US GAAP for privately held businesses
• Desire to continually grow, learn, and develop
• Ability to help other team members reach their potential
• Proficiency with various software applications, including QuickBooks, Word, Excel, and ProFx Engagement
