Assurance Intern | Summer 2027

About the role

YHB is looking for proactive and detail-oriented Interns to join our Audit Team, offering the opportunity for individual and professional development. For the duration of our 8-week summer internship program, you'll complete audit testing on financial statement accounts such as cash, accounts payable, or fixed assets. During your on-site experience in one of our many office locations, you will execute tasks geared toward expanding your audit knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Foster relationships with accounting professionals to create connections in the professional world.
• Work collaboratively with other interns in a group project that will be presented at the end of the internship.
• Shadow Audit & Assurance professionals of all levels.
• Participate in client meetings alongside YHB managers.
• Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
• Help draft management letter comments and the audit report.

Requirements

• Knowledge from your Intermediate Accounting 1 & 2 coursework.
• Basic understanding of auditing principles and practices.
• Effective time management and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A keen eye for detail.
