About the role

BPM is an accounting firm committed to fostering growth and innovation through its dedication to public accounting. As an Assurance Intern, you'll join a team of experienced professionals who specialize in auditing and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Receive comprehensive Assurance training from our Learning & Development team and key Assurance leaders.
  • Analyze financial statements and related disclosures to identify material misstatements or discrepancies.
  • Perform audit procedures to assess the accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
  • Evaluate and test the effectiveness of internal control systems implemented by clients, collaborating with team members to deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
  • Engage in regional intern events, executive speaker sessions, and collaborate with fellow interns on projects to showcase your acquired knowledge and skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics (BS/BA/MSA/MST/Certificate Program), graduating between 07/2027 – 12/2029.
  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing or obtaining CPA (Certified Public Accountant).

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to start in January and work in one of our California offices (San Francisco, San Jose, Santa Rosa, Long Beach, and Sacramento).

Benefits

We offer competitive compensation ranging from $30.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending on location. Our firm also provides a supportive environment where you can grow professionally and personally.
