Responsibilities
- Providing technical consultation to M&D clients
- Serving as the engagement leader
- Growing the practice through business development activities
- Developing and mentoring staff
- Working on a variety of engagements including audits, reviews, compilations, agreed-upon procedures, and other attestation engagements
Qualifications
- BS/BA in accounting; CPA required
- Minimum 10+ years of audit and accounting experience in a public accounting arena, including at least 1 year as an audit manager
- Expertise and experience within the manufacturing and distribution industries
- Experience working with SEC public filings
- Proven experience directing and driving the success of multiple engagements, managing budgetary and time constraints, and delivering a high level of client satisfaction
Skills
- Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including knowledge of US GAAP, GAGAS, and GAAS
- Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Strong research skills
- Proven technical skills with MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Audit preparation software experience; Caseware or CCH experience a plus
- Solid organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task
Pay
In California, the salary range for Assurance Directors is $200,000 - $300,000. Salary determination will vary based on factors such as a candidate's geographical location, qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies.
