About the role

A nationally recognized public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Senior Assurance Associate with a background serving clients in the investment company industry. This is an opportunity to work in a people-first culture that values collaboration, inclusion, and career growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead audit engagements for financial industry clients, including mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, closed-end funds, and collective investment trusts.
  • Prepare and review annual audit reports, serving as a direct liaison with managers, audit staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Guide clients through the financial reporting process with clear, actionable advice.
  • Train, mentor, and support audit staff throughout engagements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • Active CPA license required.
  • 3+ years of progressive audit experience in public accounting.
  • Completion of at least three audit busy seasons.
  • Direct experience with investment-based clients (Mutual Funds, Hedge Funds, Fund of Funds) required.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with audit software and tools.

Pay

$100,000–$125,000 base plus performance-based bonus (DOE).

Schedule

Hybrid model: Work 2–3 days per week in-office for collaboration, with the rest remote.
