Position Summary
- Perform assigned assurance procedures, including audits, reviews, compilations, and agreed-upon procedures
- Reconcile workpapers to trial balance accounts and ensure neat, complete, and organized documentation
- Understand and apply basic concepts of GAAP, GAAS, and other financial reporting frameworks
- Determine scope of testing, select samples, and demonstrate audit skepticism
- Prepare and review draft financial statements and identify potential issues for documentation and communication
- Manage individual workloads across multiple engagements and prioritize tasks with supervisor guidance
- Communicate effectively with team members on project statuses and participate actively in meetings
- Develop a basic understanding of client industries and issues that may impact audit work
- Contribute to team efforts by volunteering to assist and participating in training and independent learning
- Demonstrate strong time management skills to meet deadlines and engagement priorities
- Meet annual billable hour and other targets to fulfill individual performance and overall firm productivity
Background
- CPA license or eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- Understanding of audit standards and ability to adapt to changes
- Proficiency in learning and utilizing audit-related software and tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Accurate mathematical and accounting skills
- Ability to follow firm procedures and deliver high-quality work
