Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on improving the credibility of their nonfinancial reporting by communicating performance, and responding to the development of corporate, nonfinancial, and integrated reporting frameworks.
  • Apply understanding of nonfinancial disclosure standards, frameworks and questionnaires such as GRI, TCFD, ISSB, SASB, CDP, UNPRI, and other reporting frameworks.
  • Apply understanding of emerging nonfinancial reporting regulations worldwide such as the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and California’s climate disclosure laws.
  • Apply understanding of carbon credits or offsets issued under voluntary and/or regulatory standards.
  • Share market updates on the latest regulatory developments and leading reporting practices with key audit client contacts.
  • Help clients to identify stakeholder expectations, as well as assist in providing trust and confidence to the market on performance and in creating long-term value.
  • Develop nonfinancial disclosures, integrated annual reports and other communications.
  • Establish corporate governance risk disclosures, collect and collate nonfinancial data to support management reporting, report to the board, and external disclosures.
  • Develop internal and external reporting strategies, including identifying KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Lead fieldwork, manage performance, and keep engagement leaders updated on audit engagements.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work related experience. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field and 4 years of related experience.
  • Must have 4 years of auditing experience in a public accounting firm registered with PCAOB.
  • Must have 2 years of experience with environmental, social, economic, and governance (ESG) disclosure standards, frameworks and questionnaires such as GRI, TCFD, SASB, CDP, UNPRI, or other sustainability reporting frameworks.
  • Must have 2 years of experience assisting businesses in understanding key climate change and sustainability issues, regulatory developments, and market best practices.
  • Must have 2 years of experience collaborating with stakeholders to develop strategies and solutions of high business value.
  • Must have 2 years of experience with evaluating complex ESG project risks and issues.
  • Must have certification/accreditation or sufficient coursework/experience requirements to obtain certification within one year of hire in one of the following: APICS CSCP, CA Canada, CPA Canada, CAP, CBIP, CC-P, CEM, CFA, CFA ESG, CFE, CHMM, CIA, CAI, CMA, CPEA, CPG, CSDP, CSP, SEA, LEED, PE, PMP, or SASB.
  • Requires travel up to 60%, of which 10% may be international, to serve client needs.

Pay

$119,610.00 per year

Schedule

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.
