ASST PROFESSOR
Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology (MCDB) in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts at the University of Michigan seeks an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) with a university-year appointment starting August 25, 2027 or January 1, 2028.
About the Role
Successful candidates will establish a vigorous, extramurally funded research program and provide instruction to both undergraduate and graduate students. We welcome applications from outstanding biological scientists in all areas of cellular and molecular biology in prokaryotes, plants, and animals. Experimental approaches may include, but are not limited to, biochemical, genetic, cellular, and organismal levels.
MCDB is participating in the Michigan Program for Advancing Cultural Transformation (M-PACT), a university-wide faculty initiative aimed at recruiting faculty with a demonstrated record of driving transformative research, teaching, and accessible clinical care that supports the health of all communities, including those who have been underserved.

Positions eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually and are subject to change.
