About the role

The Assistant Patient Care Manager oversees nursing operations, ensuring high-quality care for patients and their families. They mentor, serve as a resource, and support staff and faculty on clinical nursing issues, aligning with departmental, nursing, and organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise nursing staff to ensure quality patient care
  • Mentor and support staff on clinical nursing issues
  • Oversee clinical care provided by assigned nursing staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Strong computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Advanced nursing skills, including IV therapy, emergency intervention, and teaching skills
  • Demonstrated competency in in-patient and outpatient best practices

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities
  • Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures
