Asst. Manager, Legal Operations & Contract Management

New Era Cap · Buffalo, NY · 1 mo ago
On-siteLegalFull-time
We need to output HTML fragment with sections: About the role? The posting includes description about company and role. We need headings: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections that have real specific content. We need to parse the posting. Company description: "New Era Cap, LLC is an international lifestyle brand..." This is about the company, not necessarily role. Could be "About the role"? Might be better to put under "About the role" a summary of role. But we have a paragraph describing the role: "The Asst. Manager, Legal Operations & Contract Management is a newly created role responsible for supporting and advancing the Legal Department’s operational excellence through technology, process improvement, project management, vendor administration, contract repository administration, corporate record keeping, and cross-functional collaboration. This role serves as the Legal Department’s project lead and internal point person for the implementation, rollout, and ongoing support of New Era’s contract lifecycle management, contract repository, and related legal technology platforms, working under the guidance of Legal Department leadership, while also supporting day-to-day legal operations, contract administration, repository governance, and corporate records management needs across the global business." That's role description. Could go under "About the role". Also there is "The Legal team at New Era Cap provides strategic legal guidance..." That's more about legal team, could be part of role description. We need sections: Responsibilities (list). The posting has a "Responsibilities" heading with bullet-like paragraphs. We need to convert to
  • . The responsibilities are broken into subheadings: Contract Management – Project Lead / Point Person, Legal Operations, Contract Administration & Cross-Functional Support. Each has multiple sentences. We'll need to extract each duty as list items. Probably each sentence or clause. We need to preserve all substantive info, not invent. Requirements: The posting has "Knowledge, Skills And Abilities" and "Education And Experience". Those could be Requirements and Qualifications sections. We need to decide which heading to use. The instruction says use headings like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. So we need to map. We have Knowledge, Skills And Abilities -> could go under Skills (or Requirements). Education And Experience -> Qualifications. We also have Travel Requirement and salary range (Pay). Also benefits described: "competitive compensation, a generous PTO policy, along with world-class benefits designed to promote health, financial stability, and personal growth. As an employee, you'll enjoy a range of perks, including paid parking, exclusive discounts on apparel and headwear, and professional development opportunities right here on-site." That's benefits. Schedule: The role is 100% on-site, encouraging employees to collaborate and connect in person five days a week. Also location: Buffalo, NY. So schedule: 5 days a week on-site. We need to avoid boilerplate: cookie/navigation/legal/EEO etc. Not present. We must not repeat job title as heading. So no heading for "Asst. Manager, Legal Operations & Contract Management". Also not include Job ID etc. We must not create sections with filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present. We need to output only HTML fragment. Let's craft sections:

    About the role

    ... role description ...

    • Keep all sensitive matters confidential
But note some items duplicate confidentiality etc. We'll keep as separate items maybe combine duplicates? The posting had "Maintain confidentiality of sensitive legal and business matters" and later "Keep all sensitive matters confidential". Could combine but we need preserve all info; we can keep both but maybe redundant. It's okay. Now Qualifications: Education And Experience.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
    • Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience in a corporate legal department, law firm, legal operations, contract management, procurement operations, project management, or related role
    • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading a CLM or digital repository system implementation strongly preferred
    • Paralegal certification, J.D., PMP, Six Sigma, CLOC, or related credentials are a plus
    Skills: Knowledge, Skills And Abilities.

    Skills

    • Strong project management and organizational skills
    • Experience with, or ability to quickly learn and support, contract lifecycle management platforms such as Onit, Agiloft, Ironclad, Icertis, ContractPodAi, Luminance or similar systems
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement capabilities
    • Ability to support change management, user adoption, training, and process standardization initiatives
    • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take initiative
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under deadlines
    • Familiarity with contract repository administration, legal records management, corporate governance records, and document retention practices
    • Strong sense of confidentiality and professionalism
Benefits: from paragraph: "New Era Cap, LLC’s casual work environment celebrates individuality and encourages employees to showcase their personal style. We pride ourselves on offering competitive compensation, a generous PTO policy, along with world-class benefits designed to promote health, financial stability, and personal growth. As an employee, you'll enjoy a range of perks, including paid parking, exclusive discounts on apparel and headwear, and professional development opportunities right here on-site." We'll put in
    • . Pay: salary range: "$70,000 - $90,000 (plus bonus & benefits)". Also mention actual compensation determined by factors. We'll include that. Schedule: "This role is 100% on-site, encouraging employees to collaborate and connect in person five days a week." Also location: Buffalo, NY. We'll put schedule: 5 days a week on-site in Buffalo, NY. Travel Requirement: "The location for this position is 100% on-site in Buffalo, NY 0% to 10%; domestic and/or global". That's travel. Could be part of Schedule or separate? Since we have Schedule section, we could include travel info there. But we should not create a section unless real specific content. Travel is specific: 0% to 10% travel. We could include under Schedule or maybe under a separate "Travel" but not in allowed headings. So we incorporate into Schedule. Thus Schedule section:

      Schedule

      • 100% on-site role based in Buffalo, NY
      • Expected to work five days a week in the office
      • Travel requirement: 0% to 10% domestic and/or global
Now About the role: we need to include role description plus maybe company overview? The instruction: "Do NOT repeat the job title as a heading (the page already shows it)". So we can include a paragraph summarizing role and maybe company. We'll include the role description paragraph(s). Also maybe include the company description? It's not about role but could be considered "About the role"? Might be okay to include company overview as part of About the role. But we must preserve all substantive info. The company description is substantive. We'll include it in About the role. Thus About the role: combine company overview and role description. Let's craft:
