Asst/Assoc/Full Professor, Dept of Ophthalmology, Neuro-Ophthalmology
About the role
The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) seeks candidates for a full-time position as an Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor. The rank and salary are dependent upon the candidate's qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat complex vision problems originating from the nervous system.
- Evaluate, diagnose and manage both outpatient and inpatient cases, collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
- Interpret advanced neuro-imaging, perform optic nerve evaluations and targeted surgical procedures.
- Prepare and complete timely and accurate documentation for medical records.
- Participate in the training and education of learners including medical students and residents.
Requirements
- MD/DO or Equivalent.
- Completion of an Ophthalmology Residency.
- Completion of, or in the process of completing, Neurology specific training.
- Board Certification, Board Eligibility, or in the process of completing training to become Board Eligible, by the American Board of Ophthalmology or the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
