Associate Web Content Producer

The Hired Guns · New York, NY · 3 days ago
HybridProduct$45–$50/hrContract

This temp-to-perm opportunity starts as a contract role, remote except for occasional on-site meetings in New York City. Expected to convert after 6 months to full-time hybrid (3 days per week on-site).

About the role

We’re looking for a hands-on Associate Web Producer who loves making digital content accurate, organized, accessible, and drama-free. You’ll be working across a major healthcare and academic environment, publishing and maintaining content across multiple CMS platforms and shepherding updates through a diverse cast of stakeholders—clinicians, faculty, communications, legal, compliance, and IT.

This isn’t a “just update the page” job. You’ll own content from intake through approval and publication, QA your work, troubleshoot issues, keep workflows moving, and spot opportunities to make the whole operation run better. You’ll also support everything from patient-facing content and clinical information to medical-school web properties and larger digital projects like migrations and redesigns.

Responsibilities

  • Publish and maintain content across multiple CMS platforms.
  • Shepherd updates through diverse stakeholders (clinicians, faculty, communications, legal, compliance, IT).
  • Own content from intake through approval and publication.
  • Perform QA on your work and troubleshoot issues.
  • Keep workflows moving and spot opportunities to improve operations.
  • Support patient-facing content, clinical information, medical-school web properties, and larger digital projects (e.g., migrations, redesigns).
  • Manage multiple content requests, deadlines, approval chains, and stakeholders without losing track.

Requirements

  • Roughly 6–9 years of overall experience in a hands-on web/content environment, with real experience managing content and stakeholders (not just overseeing from a high level).
  • Solid CMS experience (Drupal is a plus; WordPress, AEM, Sitecore, or similar platforms are relevant).
  • Sharp eye for detail and a serious commitment to accuracy, consistency, and quality.
  • Ability to juggle multiple content requests, deadlines, approval chains, and stakeholders without losing focus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work confidently with both technical and non-technical people.
  • Experience in healthcare is a plus, particularly with sensitive content, clinical review, legal/compliance processes, or regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with web accessibility and PDF remediation, including WCAG/Section 508/ADA standards.
  • Enough technical fluency to troubleshoot basic content/formatting issues and know when to escalate to the web/IT team.
  • Dependability, attentiveness, initiative, and the ability to get things done without micromanagement.

Benefits

Once converted to full-time, there’s an exceptional benefits package waiting on the other side.

Pay

$45 to $50 per hour.

Schedule

Remote with occasional on-site meetings in New York City. After 6 months, converts to full-time hybrid (3 days per week on-site).
