About the role
The Nevada Department of Corrections has a vacancy for an Associate Warden at the Northern Nevada Correctional Facility in Carson City. This recruitment will be used to fill the Associate Warden of Programs. Incumbents function as managers who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of subordinate supervisors, develop policies and procedures, and allocate staff and resources to accomplish goals and objectives. Incumbents supervise the classification staff, chair classification hearings for special reviews, prepare various reports including parole board, investigate reported infractions of rules, regulations and irregular or suspicious occurrences. Under general direction of the Warden within an assigned correctional institution, plan, organize, and direct the operations-related areas such as custody, culinary, and maintenance or programs related areas such as classification, medical, and education and rehabilitation.

- Prepare budget proposals, assess needs, evaluate past expenditures, and conduct future needs analysis.
