About the role

As an associate vice president, you will lead and support various internal applications and infrastructure and the complex programs surrounding these applications, including internal consultants, near-shore, off-shore technologists, and multiple vendor relationships. You will work across geographies with accountability for the success, effectiveness, and delivery of multiple work streams, managing a large, dispersed technology team.

You will be responsible for a direct impact carrying a sales quota for both "hunting" and "farming" sales approaches. You will lead planning and budgeting, define deliverable structures and content, facilitate the buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels, and direct the on-time quality delivery of work while managing technology economics and risk.

You'll help organize and lead pursuit teams, participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process, contribute to pricing strategies, develop practical solutions and methodologies, and create "thoughtware" and "point of view" documents. You'll perform the role of counselor and coach for other IT staff members and provide input and guidance into future staffing needs. You'll also provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 12+ years' experience in application support, including "lights on" support services, development, and customization working with application development, preferably on customized projects.
  • 10+ years' experience leading geographically dispersed teams to develop, design, and support technical solutions in Java or Microsoft technologies.
  • 3+ years' experience selling application managed services to clients and new customers, with "hunting" and "farming" sales experience (required).
  • 10+ years' experience leading large-scale global technology teams in a delivery lead capacity.
  • Hands-on development skills in at least one of the following: Java, .Net, or Mainframe.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals with the ability to articulate technology concepts to both business and technical audiences.
  • Experience working in a multi-vendor environment and with third parties.
  • Extensive team leadership experience, including managing people, projects, clients, and financials.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, based on client and industry needs.
  • Recent AI experience incorporating leading AI practices to improve efficiencies and reduce redundancies.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering, computer science, or a related field. Preferred: Master's degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • Ability to quickly learn and deliver on analogous technologies not previously worked on.
  • Other certifications (e.g., AWS, AI, Google, Claude) are a plus. PMP and ITIL certifications are strongly preferred.

Pay

The wage range for this role takes into account factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and business needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for geographic differentials. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $163,400 to $322,100. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to program rules and performance factors.
