Vice President, Asset Backed Securities Structuring role focused on developing and executing term ABS transactions across all asset classes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and utilize existing models to structure term ABS transactions across all asset classes.
- Interact with rating agencies to obtain ratings for transactions.
- Tie-out structures with accountants and review/feedback on transaction documents.
- Support the deal marketing process by discussing and educating the salesforce.
- Provide analytical support and structural proposals for pitch books, presentations, and RFPs.
- Maintain and enhance internal modeling tools.
- Assist in asset valuations and trade analyses for securitization and other business opportunities.
- Proactively identify operational risks and control deficiencies in the business.
- Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to business activities.
- Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies, and risks to line managers and relevant risk/control functions.
Requirements
- 4+ years of Asset Backed Securities or related experience.
- Familiarity with both Term and Conduit ABS products, including Non-Traditional Asset Classes.
- Bachelor’s degree with a history of strong academic performance.
- Series 7, 63, and 79 licenses.
- Previous transaction execution experience across various asset classes.
- Self-starter who functions well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
- Solution-oriented approach to issues with strong problem-solving skills.
Skills
- Strong programming and Excel spreadsheet skills (including VBA).
- Fluency in ABS documents and related criteria.
- Proficiency in Intex and CAS.

Pay
Expected salary range: $165,000–$225,000, depending on experience, skills, and registration status. Additional earnings potential through RBC’s discretionary variable compensation program.
Schedule
- Full-time position.
- 40 hours per week.
