Paws & Claws Pet Medical Center is seeking an Associate Veterinarian (DVM) to join our welcoming and collaborative team in Troutdale, Oregon, just minutes from Portland and the Columbia River Gorge. We offer flexible scheduling ranging from 1–4 days per week, with Mondays required.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive veterinary care for:

  • Dogs
  • Cats
  • Rabbits
  • Birds
  • Reptiles
  • Pocket pets

Routine surgical procedures are performed, but veterinarians may focus on wellness, internal medicine, urgent care, or companion animal practice if preferred.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college of veterinary medicine, or equivalent certification for international graduates
  • Successful completion of the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE)
  • Active Oregon veterinary license in good standing, or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience utilizing digital radiography, dental radiography, and in-house diagnostics
  • Experience in small animal general practice, urgent care, or companion animal medicine
  • Interest in exotics medicine
  • Interest in surgery and dentistry
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach to medicine
