Associate Veterinarian - Part-time or Full-time - Bellingham, WA

Location: Bellingham, WA – a city known for its outdoor activities, breweries, local food, farmer’s market, live music, and proximity to Seattle and Vancouver, BC. The hospital is located about 10 miles outside the city limits with views of Mount Baker.

About the role

Mountain Veterinary Hospital is a small-animal, integrative practice combining Western medicine with Traditional Chinese Medicine and rehabilitation. Services include:

• Surgery
• Acupuncture and Chinese herbals
• Two therapeutic lasers (K-Laser and Summus)
• Underwater treadmill
• LVT pursuing Certified Companion Animal Rehabilitation Therapist (CCAT) certification
• Mentoring and collaborative, non-production-based environment

The hospital is open Monday through Saturday and offers a supportive team culture with monthly continuing-education meetings.

Clinic, Equipment, and Support Team

• Modern anesthetic machines and monitoring equipment, surgery lights and table
• Portable ultrasound machine
• Fiber internet and individual computers for each doctor
• AI-assisted dictation for SOAP notes
• One assigned assistant per doctor per shift, plus a float LVT

• New web-based practice-management software (Shepherd) – early Spring 2026
• Dental radiology and a second anesthesia machine – end of Winter 2026
• Expanded rehabilitation services – end of Summer 2026

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized patient care across the spectrum of integrative medicine
• Collaborate with colleagues in a non-production-based environment
• Contribute new ideas and methods to the hospital’s service offerings

Requirements

• DVM/VMD degree from an accredited veterinary program, or currently enrolled and expected to graduate from one
• Licensed or license-eligible in Washington

Pay

Starting salary: $120,000+ annually. Washington pay range: $150,000–$170,000 USD.
