First Capitol Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Small Animal Veterinarian to join our team in St. Charles, MO. About the role

We are looking for a compassionate, collaborative Associate Veterinarian (DVM) to practice exceptional small-animal medicine with autonomy and support from a talented team. Our diverse caseload spans preventive care, diagnostics, soft-tissue surgery, dentistry, and client communication in a modern, well-equipped facility.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based small-animal medicine and surgery
• Perform preventive care, wellness exams, and dental procedures
• Utilize advanced diagnostics (digital radiography, ultrasonography)
• Manage anesthesia, pain control, and soft-tissue surgeries
• Build strong client relationships through clear communication
• Collaborate with a skilled support team and participate in mentorship programs
• Engage in ongoing professional development and case rounds

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college (or equivalent for international graduates)
• Active Missouri veterinary license in good standing (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
• Successful completion of the NAVLE
• Passion for high-quality, evidence-based veterinary medicine
