About the role
Fairgrounds Animal Hospital is seeking an Associate Veterinarian (DVM/VMD) to join our experienced team in Reno, Nevada. We are a progressive small animal general practice providing comprehensive veterinary services, including wellness care, surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, and urgent care.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive veterinary services including wellness care, surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, and urgent care.
- Collaborate with a skilled support team to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and techniques to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Participate in ongoing professional development through structured mentorship programs and CE offerings.
- Work flexible hours, including Saturdays and Sundays, to meet the needs of our diverse patient population.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college of veterinary medicine, or equivalent certification for international graduates.
- Successfully completed the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE).
- Active Nevada veterinary license in good standing, or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date.
- Experience in small animal general practice, urgent care, or companion animal medicine preferred.
- Strong communication and client relationship skills.
- A collaborative and team-oriented approach to medicine.
Qualifications

Pay
Competitive base salary: $90,000-$120,000 DOE
Quarterly production bonuses with no negative accrual
Gross signing bonus and relocation assistance
Schedule
Fully flexible schedule options available, including full-time and part-time positions.
Candidates must be available to work Saturdays and/or Sundays.
