Associate Veterinarian - Compassion Animal Hospital

About the role

We are seeking an energetic, caring veterinarian to join our 5 doctor small animal practice in northern Virginia. The ideal candidate will enjoy client education and preventative care, and be interested in learning more surgeries or becoming more comfortable in the OR.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical care to a variety of small animal patients including dogs, cats, and exotics.
• Perform a wide range of surgical procedures including fracture repairs, ocular procedures, FHOs, suture CCL repairs in small patients, Perineal Hernia Repairs, and more.
• Participate in preventative care and client education programs.
• Utilize electronic records and cloud-based technology to improve efficiency and accessibility.
• Enjoy a work-life balance with opportunities for outdoor activities and community involvement.

Requirements

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an ACVIM accredited program.
• Current Virginia State License.
• Experience in small animal practice preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
